Haven't read past this chapter, but I'm assuming that these are two separate versions of "Slave". The mannequin form being the past version who witnessed Lee Mokjin, realizing he could save humanity. And the current one (Eyeball form), who never figured this out at all?

The mannequin "Slave" did regress time where they "Never Met" after all.
