In over 20 years, this is the only manga / anime I've ever seen that had a not-cheesy realistic method of introducing firearms to a fantasy setting.

I agree, this was a really solid way to introduce G U N, the most natural progression i've seen yet. This series is looking quite good, but I feel a bit sad that it's only 3-4 chapters per year.
