It's fun to see how different authors and artists interpret some of the more well-known magics, even more so when they pull out lesser-seen or magics original to the world.

That said, I think Caldwell's Caster firearm looks a bit too refined, and too much like a modern gun. Besides, there's a series that already had a firearm called a "Caster" that could have been referenced, Outlaw Star.

@dracone A one word name being used in the same way... it's kind of general. I liked watching Outlaw Star show but I don't even remember the gun having a name. And I wouldn't say that it's contemporary enough to cause confusion.
