It's always exasperating to see canine kobolds as a fantasy creature in Japanese works from the mistranslated D&D entries, but seeing it being backwashed into an English original is instead incredibly jarring. They're goblin-form lizardmen if wingless dragons were lizards. The only doglike things about them are the shape of the snout and grouped combat tendency.

Folklore-wise, in harry potter terms, they're like willful, impish house-elves in houses and prideful house-elf grims in ships, while the ones underground are capricious, invisible, evil/indifferent mute poltergeists. The last ones are where the element cobalt gets its name.

That said, your doggo kobolds are a neat take.

Love the using trap to kill.

I guess interesting way to start off the haitus, with a memory loss due to dungeon pressure. so confusion but explain as memory returns.
