Fun fact: rabbit shit is a cold manure, what is a cold manure you ask? Well normally an animals manure needs to be composted first (sometimes for over a year)or it risks "burning" the plants. Kind of like those guys who over fertilize their lawns and kill the whole thing yellow/dead. This is known as hot manures, cold manures can be used right away raw as long as the rabbits are healthy and parasite/disease free. Hot combosts also are used to kill pathogens for manure on food crops and some food crop can only after X amount of time from application for safety.

To complete @Mojo, I recall learning that rabbit real shit is actually low enough in nutrient (= cold manure) cause they eat back the “false” shit that’s still high in nutrient (= hot manure).

@CastleBeki Yup, grasses are really hard to digest. Unlike cows that have four stomachs and even regurgitate and re-chew their food, rabbits just digest their food, then eat it again and digest it a second time to extract all the nutrients out. I've owned rabbits before and have a vegetable garden so I'm quite familiar with it. 😄
