That flashback with her mother was actually pretty sweet, I love the way the author is doing the characterization... You can see how her mom does love her in a way, but she can't express it in the right way, which is a pretty common situation, sadly; but our Baebl is also becoming stronger and more confident, so she can face her while also starting to understand her better... I really love this series.
