It's a shame that it got axed, but perhaps it was for the best to end it here. Giving him the robot and human body effectively removed the protagonist limitations that made this story unique, and judging from the LN covers it seems that for the rest of the story he sticks to the robot/boy bodies and stays with the party.

This was really good. I'm going to buy the light novels to read more of the story.
