The chapters are all over the place because Viz's release is all over the place.
Apparently they released 3 volumes but instead of following the original structure, they just pulled chapters from other volumes, which is Viz's volume 3 for example, had chapter 39 and 40.
I used this site to check the correct chapter number: https://thtoon.xyz/manga/spriggan/ (keep in mind they have chapter 0 as chapter 1 and so on)

Thanks man. I've been confused for the longest time with viz's releases since they didn't seem to match up with the scanlated ones at all. Nice to see some order being put back into this madness.

Seraching around is not hard to find the whole thing.
11 volumes of greatness, they don't make stories like this anymore...episodic manga with separated arcs for each story...
Anyway even the full transaltion around lack the new prologue and epilogue chapters that were released years after the original comic, I think is only in Japan for now.
Netflix annunced a anime around a year ago but to this day there are no news about it, I doubt it is abandoned but the silence is bad.
