The symbolism is really fitting: cherry blossoms represent the ephemeral nature of beauty and goodness in Japanese culture. So, I guess this manga suggests that although all good things – including Haru the human and Haru the dog – go away eventually, good moments will always return intermittently into our lives.
Pretty neat.
