I'm getting the "yuri" is just some bonus interactions/scenes of these 2 ladies in-between a lot of hardcore (het) SM sex.
Not my taste, not because it isn't yuri (that'd be just a "meh, not interested"). It's the YOLO character. The only way they still alive is cuz they're a character in a story about them otherwise they'd be rotten in a ditch somewhere.

It does seem like the relationship drama between the two is a big focus, but I also imagine all the straight SM will alienate a lot of yuri fans who would otherwise enjoy that.

As for Kana, I believe she's supposed to be abrasive, pretty typical for Arai characters early on. I was also rubbed the wrong way.

Yeahnah. This may or may not get gayer later, but the deliberately abrasive tone and characters aren't for me, and I don't feel like committing to this long enough to see any hypothetical character development arcs.

I retract my statement, it was entirely an assumption on my part fueled by an interview where Arai said "Regardless of whether your partner is of the same sex or the opposite sex, it's impossible to completely understand each other", in reference to a conflict between the two women.

I've obtained the rest of the raws, and have skimmed it. I can't say confidently that there is yuri, and if there is it's definitely not a focus. The relationship between Kana and Fuyumi is complicated, but seems largely platonic. I'm picking up on some subtext, but I think that's it. Sorry.

It's also on hold until I can secure a better translator, I think I'm out of my depth a little on that front.
