Might just be me but it was really hard to follow the action sequence around page 16-17. Can somebody dissect what happened?

Yeah, it's quite hard to tell what's going on.
As far as I can tell both the Starion and 4WD oversteer and slide out (page 16) then they're side by side and it seems the Starion goes right and immediately left to go into a sideways drift and ends up nearly backwards (page 17) and this somehow gives him the outside line and the bottom of page 18 is him correcting the slide and then getting back in the right gear to accelerate off

So a father of two potentially risks his life doing street racing at night? Chewing through tires even though it's been estabilished he's not that well off? Dunno how I feel about that
