Star Martial God Technique - Ch. 412

@Dezir title and its translation is good. The problem lies somewhere else. Either way- worry not, it comes to an end fast. Way too fast- apparently last chapter is around 460 or something like that. Unfortunately Mad Snail is known for this type of plot development with creating it as he writes, without thinking in a bigger scale. This unfortunately leads to situation you can summarize in 3 points:
1. promising start
2. everything inbetween beginning and ending that goes "meh" as story progresses
3. rushed unfinished ending
and this title is very sadly example of this three-pointer ☹
Very sadly because even if the storyline and main antagonist are mediocre at best it still had some potential, all author needed to do was to build atmosphere and lore. Maybe create some side events. Introduce more existing characters, maybe add some more. Because now we're at point where:
[ul]one dude's got just killed and we don't even know who he was[/ul]
[ul]there's some demon lord or sth on loose that is apparently hundreds years old and has some stupid plan [/ul]
[ul]noone really knows what this plan is about, I'm afraid not even demon lord[/ul]
[ul]it looks like people for all this time didn't give single f that their emperor strangely changed to some human killing maniac[/ul]
[ul]plot has some nasty holes[/ul]
[ul]many characters that had potential to show their story were just abandoned in the meantime, randomly popping back or disappearing again. Like that MC's sworn brother that disappeared for eternity just to appear out of nowhere now. Or that sword eminence girl that appeared whole 2 times before getting supposedly (not) killed. Or that girl kept by that whatever martial goddess MC's in love. What about the whole town where MC was raised? They are apparently kept imprisoned but don't see that even on 1 panel. We can go on and on.[/ul]
Looks like Mad Snail just got tired of this title and wants to end it ASAP. Well, for better or worse sometimes it's good to finish before it changes to meaningless drag or gets axed after year of "attempts". Problem here is that author didn't give a damn to begin with how to finish story so we get this- some nonsensical events with bare minimum of explanation and in the meantime MC's doing Goku-kindof powerup before entering the stage to kill Frezer I mean demon lord. Let's add to an account that it's still possible to kill all irrelevant characters in the process... and even MC in the very end as a "noble sacrifice".
