The rebellion had quite a few ex-imperials, including the male MC. Did they all start in chains?

Perhaps now that the actual war is more or less over, the ugly side of the New Republic is showing its true face. It's not anymore about fighting for freedom but looking for people to blame for all the things the Empire did.

@Kaarme I think there's a difference between "ex-imperials" and "still wearing the imperial uniform" lol.

@Kaarme - yep, pretty much. "War crime" is decided by the victors. *cough!* Bombing of Dresden *cough* Firebombing Tokyo *cough!*

@Lithe Yeah, I'm not saying what they are doing would be especially wrong in the bigger picture, per se, although putting an unconsciouss person in heavy iron shackles and pointing multiple guns at her looks more like persecution than taking a POW into custody, considering the circumstances (Thane was the one who purposefully brought her). Not to mention dragging her away like a dead fish...

@sylvacoer WW2 was a ridiculous affair, and its aftermath was possibly even more ridiculous than the war itself. However, it's also an excellent lesson for anyone suffering from delusions of justice and fairness.

Someone who defects tends to not get knocked out in battle and dragged onto an escape pod.
At the very very least, disarming her of weapons is a reasonable thing to do.

I'd not say that chaining up hands is wrong either - it just takes a few moments for someone to grab a gun out of a holster and start blasting, after all.

Pointing guns at an unconscious prisoner of war is a bit OTT, though.

Sorry, as someone that has read the book, all I can say is "can someone kill this manga already?"
