Starting English proofreading

Reading manga and manhwa has become a major hobby for me, however, 9/10 times the scanlations are either weirdly translated (i.e. just google translated resulting in broken english), badly translated or sloppily translated. This, to me at least, really puts a downer on the reading experience because either it doesn't fully convey the feelings or atmosphere or it just breaks the immersion due to spelling mistakes or just sloppy errors.
I'm going to be upfront and say I have no former experience regarding proofreadingl. I just want to help some people and do my part to prevent the feelings that i have felt before to fall upon other passionate readers.
