I hate to be a reductionist but... buy some guns. Even villagers can be easily trained to use modern ones and even if they get stolen they can't be replocated and he controls the supply of ammo. Should've been suspicious that an unknown man, especially a very healthy one who doesn't show any signs of having been without food for a while, brought news before his people did. Especially if the guy suddenly picks up speed and able to outrun them. After all, the 'corpse' is already dead, no concept of forensics, and nobody is likely to go near so what's the hurry? Ergo it's definitely a trap. Although must be looking down on Mina as there are only a few assassins there. 5-8 from looking at table Mina spied on although could've just been the leaders and have a bunch of men here and there although a large group would be noticeable, especially a group not interested in food or showing any signs of going hungry. Guess will just have to see how things play out.
