The artist drew plants and monsters very well, but when drawing people it was a bit meh. The storytelling was also lacking and a bit boring, such a waste for a rather interesting plot.

Also the bad translation really did this one dirty.

I kept reading how this is “different” or “emotional” from other power fantasy isekais. It’s not. I was actually excited because the author actually had the guts to kill off some main characters, only to undue it, introduce the generic ‘mysterious administrator/message box’ trope, revive the killed of characters, and give the mc a skill that lets them revive anyone, only to never mention it again. Death should be permanent! If anyone can come back to life all willy nilly then there are no stakes, there isn’t any drama. This is just another isekai with no story.

Side note: The group translating this, is awful. They keep changing one of the MAIN characters names over and over again, even after chapter 100. And the grammar is just downright sloppy. You will be filling in for a majority of dialogue.

Eh, it was really good and surprisingly brutal for this type of story. Or at least I thought so. I thought the girls deaths were really well-done imo, the reactions of both the animals and the main character himself really sold how much their deaths meant... just for it to not matter, as apparently they're able to be revived.

That should have been the end of their story, an important footnote for the mc's growth as a character. It's like that saying, you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't just kill an important and liked character so that the main character can grow and then have that dead character revive and still be a major character in the current story and still want their deaths to have meant something.

Dropped because it's a power creep fantasy with mindless leveling. It was interesting at first but slowly just turning into a sloppy grind of added stuffs that felt like asspulls.

Dogshit writing, no offense. Generic reincarnation plot with basic characters that fastpaces the plot and just throws 3 full chapters of crying and unnecessary fight scenes(let's face it he could have just solid the snake instead of doing an s run)

I usually don't like Isekai's with gimmicks where the mc reincarnates into a silly thing like a spider, slime, vending machine... But this is honestly really good.
And the art is phenomenal! Sometimes it's mediocre but damn, when it looks good it REALLY looks good
Wait a minute, VENDING MACHINE? That sounds like the most boring shit in the world, what is it “I reincarnated as a vending machine where I level up every time I dispense a coke and I become the strongest beverage dispenser!”

Hate to break it to you, but they made reincarnated into a vending machine into a full anime, and it was really popular on Crunchyroll when it came out. Hard to tell where is stands now since CR nuked comments.

It's actually more interesting than you might think. He can gain abilities related to ANY machine that can tangentially 'dispense' something which allows him to provide solutions that otherwise would never occur in a standard plot. His inability to speak (beyond rehashing canned phrases) or move on his own adds certain aspects of drama and complications for the characters to overcome, which YMMV on whether that's fun. But ultimately he's dependent on others and they rely on him for things he can do much more easily than them.

And yeah I think his method of gaining new abilities is directly related to him receiving money from people for the goods or services he provides so there's also an aspect of him having to act as a merchant to gain more power.

All of the english chapters were deleted when the TL was banned so some of my comments were deleted. Ones that I think were actually rather relevant so I'll just rewrite it best as I can here

And when I say this, the artist made a TON of changes by actually fleshing out the side characters and making the monsters more sympathetic. In the original novel, the MC is a total psycho murderhobo and all of the side characters are faceless goons after getting a name. Let's just talk about the start of the manhua; the MC's tree is a grave marker for the girls father, upon discovering that he's a monster they were scared but in the end he managed to befriended the girls and tried to save them from the tomahawk snake. ALL OF THAT IS EXCLUSIVE TO THE MANHUA. In the original, when the girls discovered the MC, they ran away in fear only for him to befuddle their minds, lure them back to the village and drop venomous snakes on them to try and make it look like an accident. The manhua keeps trying to do its own thing and make the characters actually characters only to completely tonal whiplash back to the story demanded by the source material
