Indeed, thank you for the translation!

This manga never fails to make me smile, laugh or feel fluffy inside. This time I smiled. :)

Last summer of middle school. It looks to me like this series is slowly approaching its end... :meguuusad:

Why would you needlessly put your 'friend' in the position of having to protect you?
Because in Japanese culture, a man promising to protect a woman is a metaphor for love confession/proposing marriage and spending the rest of life together. It's a cultural meme, like "carry like hime-sama" or "the moon is beautiful tonight."
Woah there kid take it easy.

You know not of the beast that you are poking if you dare to ask her to put on an adult swimsuit.
A beach episode with "adult" swimsuits in a romance manga? What could possibly go wrong... :smug:

Got it, thanks; I was thinking like an American, exploitation and all that.

Don't worry, no matter how slutty the swimsuit you pick is, he will protect you.

... Unless he faints...

Having the "I dont want to see you getting pick up by guys" when they're still in middle school really made me 🤨
He was just trying to pick up any excuse he could think of, so it's fine. After all he is thinking of her that way, so he doesn't think "we're still middle school kids", he's thinking "she'd look hot in swimsuit", and he used old and tired trope to hide his own confusion.
