I've seen and read people seeing childhood friends dating as gross, just because they were as close as siblings when they were kids.

I've seen and read people seeing childhood friends dating as gross, just because they were as close as siblings when they were kids.

It tends to ick out women more than it does men.
As in women almost never see guys that were childhood friends as romantic partners (whether or not they are blood related)

It was a real issue in the 50's on Israeli kibbutzes, where the kids all lived together separate dorms from their parents.

Almost all of them ended up leaving the kibbutzes to find a spouse.
