I get this but even then they could still date, even secretly. Currently their relationship is really ambiguous (which the author did on purpose so he can bang the other women) the closes thing would probably be sex friends yet its clear Nayeon has feelings for him. I just feel the author is very inconsistent in portraying the characters as Nayeon is clearly shown to have feeling for him yet at the same time doesn't get jealous when she hears the MC banged Yumi. Same for the MC as I said before.
