This is the dumbest speculation but what if Kuroiwa killed her, what is his motive?
Vol. Chapter 2 the murderer did it coz the victim made him as if he's just casual fling and she wanted to leave him. And twice in this season 2 Kuroiwa said something about "admitting defeat hurts his pride as a man". But probably that doesn't has anycorrelation with Mari's murderer.
