It’s always so haphazard and mixed up and just MADE UP half the time...
It gets who is talking wrong. It makes statements questions. It changes character motivation.

I mean, i don't know what the raws talk about but that's not like you don't get the point. I think it's fairly clear what each character want. On another note, i still hate Toudou so much. He ,again, manage to get his point across and make it work without any problems at all. I mean, what is the point ? Why did we need a M.Perfect in the manga ? Why everything he do had to be the right thing to do ? At least Maekawa manage to do the things by thinking about how Shimizu will do those things.

@Thrembs Could you give some specific examples? I admit I haven't read through this chapter raw since it came out, but the only thing that jumped out to me was the "pleasure-hungry lover" line, which sounded less like a porno line in the original dialogue, at least to me, and was more of an assertion/threat than a question. It was accurate in the overall meaning though - Shizuku's team are nagging her that if she ignores her relationship, her lover will satisfy their sexual urges via infidelity. I agree that these translators are willing to rephrase things some to make the dialogue flow better in English, but I haven't noticed any instances in which overall meaning was heavily modified. And I vastly prefer a translator who occasionally takes too many liberties with dialogue over a translator who makes a boring over-literal translation.

new character could've potentially come off as extremely annoying and only existed as a plot device to further drama but i think i actually like her a lot. definitely helps all her character design elements hits all my zones lol (messy short hair, glasses, even the headphones)

This isn’t occasional liberties. This is wholesale fabrication and massive errors.

When Shimizu was all over her on the work trip and people walked in, the offscreen conversation was between Maekawa and the women who walked in. She was trying to convince them that Shimizu was just being a weird drunk. They say they’ll just leave some water by the door.

In the previous chapter what Maekawa yells at her editor is “I’m meeting with my lover tonight!” then he’s like “oh, sure. You have time for that🙄”.
The whole thing is wackadoo. You’re not much worse off with blank raws.
