Please, it's fucking annoying, you are unofficial partners meaning you are either doing this to keep people here or are intending to sell the site, but this is worse than aggregates honestly because at least kiss manga has more stuff, this is a community, why do you feel the need to shit out a dozen chapters on the feed so damn often, it's goddamn annoying

There should be a feature to hide these chapters / series, but it IS useful.
People don’t want to go to many different websites to follow all the udpates.

Comparing it to pirate aggregators flooded with ads that don’t respect anything or anyone is unfair.

The option to blacklist groups will help you with your problem. Until that is implemented, you're out of luck. Personally, I use those "uploads" to help keep up with the things I follow on there, so I'd prefer they stay.

i don't think there's much of a problem. Certainly the Block Group function will help once it's implemented, if you really want to not see MangaPlus links.
i personally had my reservations about it at first, but not anymore.

The OP was upset that the frontpage listings were filled with a slightly different flavor of series they weren't interested in reading than usual. They then puked a bunch of "make mangadex sound bad" word salad, making sure to hit key points like "selling the site" and "like scummy aggregator X". For them there seems to be an irreconcilable difference between "manga I can click once to read for free here" and "manga I can click twice to view for free elsewhere"

@Zephyrus The comments section for major series that MangaPlus updates to, like One Piece or Boku No Hero Academia for example, have a lot of people complaining about these MangaPlus drops. It's basically free ad space for them and forces traffic away from your site. I don't want to read manga on MangaPlus, I want to read it here. I'm just kinda shocked MD is allowing ads on the site in the form of manga updates that aren't really updates to what I can read on here.

There are certainly valid complaints out there (though perhaps some people are being a bit too angry about it instead of raising legitimate reasons, haha).

I can understand the confusion & annoyance if folks are seeing only Manga+ uploads on the front page, bc it seems like someone mass-updated tons of Manga+ official releases, all at once.

still, I can't blame MD for this - - unless the mass update was done by a staff... !!!!!

The Block Group function is desperately needed. attached to it a suggestion to add Manga+ as soon as possible.

Off topic a bit, but I remember when this very same issue came around with the genre block debate. That feature took months to implement, and screaming at the forum mods definitely didn’t make it come any faster. Just like group blocking is being requested now, the sheer bevy of anti-yaoi and anti-isekai that was thrown around with the devs working to actually solve the issue while keeping both sides happy was an impressive feat.

@FrostBlood you’re going to have to wait for the fix to drop, and It’s going to take a while. I know it’s flabbergasting when one group updates, like lh with their 20 isekai series updating in the same hour once a week, but that’s just the way these things are with how community actually is. But hey if you feel that kiss offers a better value, nothing is stopping you from going to their site and seeing the same 5 webtoons on the front page and nothing else.

@misakaxmisaka you realize I can't these are placed on the site as if they are normal chapters, therefore it isn't just following or not the seen screen gets covered and the chapters aren't even on this site and an unofficial partnership can be summed up as either leeching or something more dubious but I have other lists so why is MD using it like this,instead of it being added to lists it is instead published as if they are chapters actually on md and not linked to another site (fucking hilarious when you remember that people hate that and was part of the drama) but yeah

2. Read everything you just wrote
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 for 5-10 times, maybe 20 for good measure.

Hopefully by then you can understand that it's not even "unofficial" partnership, or even leeching. How the fuck is it "leeching" when the sole purpose of it is to redirect traffic to M+?

"Dubious" lol what a stretch. You're the only one exaggerating everything, let's be real. There are people that still use them as a tracker cause Mangaplus itself is still flimsy on that part. And if you don't want series that you read to be buried then follow them and you can still check your follows exclusively on the front page.

Chill the fuck out and let them implement group block feature or whatever that's already in the plans.
