When it's from the same author as Flow, you already know it's going to be good.
This is a fantasy-drama with really good art, compelling characters, and a strong and likeable female lead.
I don't normally read shoujo but this is extremely good so far.
Warning: this should probably have a tragedy tag
There's currently a crackdown on scan groups (mostly ones who do Korean series) so many groups have now put their chapters on hold until this has blown over. I believe that webtoonlations is currently doing the same thing, since many groups are now being cautious about posting any Korean series from Naver/kakao/D&C.😭
I don't think this is completed on the english translation side... because of how that last chapter ended. There was... 0 closure of anything... what XD
Finally someone picked this up again
I finished the raws a long time ago and have been waiting for a translation so i could get my friends to read this.
It is a shoujo i guess but the characters all have their own pasts and situations that make them likeable or understandable to some extent, so i had no qualms with the series as a guy (and if you are hoping for romance you’re in for a treat) . The author is indeed female however also wrote “flow” which I guess was alright although Strange and Beautiful was a very magical experience for me. I don’t know how well you have to know your art software to cone up with such magnificent looking panels on a weekly basis but my only concern for other people reading this might be the bizarreness of the whole situation, bringing in korean goblins, or “dokkaebi” and having them force issekai’ed high school girls into marriage. While reading and finishing all 3 volumes, I thought it was wonderful and nicely paced with a meaningful buildup and satisfying conclusion and a likeable female and male lead. In my opinion it is one of m favorite webtoons, complimented by gorgeous illustrations, however I won’t be surprised if the situation seems too foreign for non-korean readers (The author kind of assumes you’ve grew up learning korean folklore so doesn't feel the need to explain everything i guess). Some things one might see as deus ex machina or illogical later in the series have actually been given good thought and are well-integrated into the bigger picture, which can be hard to see if you are unacquainted with korean folklore. Don’t assume anything because people are transported into another world, as i don’t even know if the author knows about the current isekai saturation. This series is something original for korean webtoons, however unfortunately coincides with the current isekai trend despite having nothing in common other than a trip to a fantasy world (not the videogame kind). Whether this series is for you is not for me to decide, if it feels too weird I wouldn’t push anyone to read it but if you’ve caught up and are generally understanding and enjoying whats going on, by all means continue as this series has heavy fight scenes later on (yes this is not your average shoujo). This female author’s first series was a shonen (if you put it in manga terms instead of manhwa) so expect more in volume 3 (chap 100ish) holy cow this comment is long are people even going to read it
Edit: I was able to binge the entire series, but I can see how reading 1 chapter every once in a while could get irritating and most certainly boring. Nothing too climactic happens until
the end of the 2nd volume though (chap 100?) so give it some time to grab your interest
