Guy steals an entire shipment of products to ruin the female lead and make a profit, plans on selling them overseas, and a variety of other illegal activities which probably include murder and yet believes that's enough to save him? Typical small fry bad guy mentality. He can break the rules as much as he wants and that makes him smarter and better than everyone else, yet is shocked that somebody else would break the rules or that he can't use the rules to protect his illegal activities.

Btw, if the female lead forgot about the MC, why are they in the same house?
