I never understand why people don't just turn in these series. Like I get it, you wanna be happy as a human, but if I ever get the chance to extend my life and my time with the person I love, I'd take that shit in a heartbeat. But all these stories make it seem like a bad thing to give up your humanity as if that turns you into some sort of irredeemable monster and it's always up to the other specieis to give up their race and turn human or live without the person they love for centuries. It's just kinda silly to me
