It's likely because getting bottom surgery is easier for trans people and the character speaking is likely a trans woman, as she mentioned wanting to be reborn as a little girl. Suicide as a result of gender dysphoria with no hope of being able to transition in a way where they can live happily is something that happens in real life.

Seems rather reductive towards mental health. "Your depression was entirely caused by a misconception on your part! All it took was my opinion to cure you!!"

edit: oh and let's not forget "Also, think about everyone else! How they feel should be more important to you than how you do!"

As someone who has been on the edge multiple times, it really does take you out of it to think about those you'll hurt with your suicide, suicide most of the time is an impulsive decision and even the smallest inconvenience can prevent you from doing it

I just read the first 20 chapters, and this series has quickly become one of my absolute favorites.

Absolutely gorgeous eye candy art, an intriguing world, a hilarious sense of humor, A+-tier characters & character designs, and multiple solid punches right in the feels.

I've gotta check out some of this mangaka's other stuff, after this.
Also, I doubt it's ever gonna happen, but I really want to see some of the scenes in this animated, because MY GOD.
