Thank you for picking this up! Huge fan of Homunculus and Ichi the Killer. This one is looking to be just as insane as those ones, I’m so hyped for the next chapter!

Haha, I just read the first three chapters and was thinking "Man, this vibes like when I read the first few chapters of Homunculus 20ish years ago", especially when he basically scalped that nuisance guy by pulling his hair, not even realising it was the same author.
Looking forward to the continuation. Been needing some new, proper seinen that's just not shounen in wolf's clothing in my life for a while now.

You might enjoy Oku's new manga The Sweet Sixty Princess if you're looking for more seinen to read, another series we're translating; not quite the same level of cracked out but definitely shares that down to earth dialogue vibe and undercurrent of awkwardness that's felt all the time in real life.

You should check out Okama Report and Adam & Eve if you're already a fan of Yamamoto (and if you haven't already). Okama Report is my favourite manga of his and has a lot of earlier forms of ideas presented in Homunculus in a more comedic and less gritty setting, while Adam & Eve is something I can't even begin to describe and illustrated by the legendary Ikegami.

Actually re-read all of Ichi last night after these chapters, and am planning to just re-read everything else too at this point. Aah wonderful. I put a mention of Drunken Fist (and Morgan's solo project Nighthawk Returns) in the last chapter's credits note in hopes of getting some more eyes on this, so really glad to hear that.

I've gotta give Hikari-Man a serious go myself at some point, I tried it half-heartedly and couldn't vibe with the 3D-model-tracing art style (which I'm very glad is not how this manga is being done) despite being very intrigued by the story outline. It's definitely one of the more... unique looking manga out there, even among the many that make use of 3D models. Unfortunately I don't find it as appealing in its weirdness as something like Kenka Shoubai.

I actually read these. I’ve read EVERYTHING by the guy, so I’m a huge fan. Ngl while I like Okama Report, I didn’t love it. Felt a bit hit or miss when it came to the story. But it was a lot of fun. I’d like to see Yamamoto do a remake or a similar story now that he’s changed significantly as an author since then.
