A little girl, trying to find her own voice amidst a storm of trauma. Incredible—I love the use of water as a motif, harnessing its archetypal role as a symbol of life, transformation, and rebirth. This reinforces the circular structure of this story, as we started when the twins were left by the orphanage (otherwise they'd be killed)on a rainy day, Lisa's voice is supposedly transformed as her face is in the water, the mudslide acts as a 'rebirth', then we see her save her mom and undergo a final transformation/rebirth at the end of the story. Wonderful. There are a lot of other aspects to discuss, such as panelling, faces/hands, text, the main message, etc., but this stood out to me among others. It's not often you find a gem so well polished.
