Why are you guys calling him a wimp? To me it looks like he didn't want to take advantage of the situation because it wouldn't be fair. That and she couldn't see him clearly.

In my opinion, he would he even more of a wimp if he took advantage of her forgetfulness and disability to do what he hadn't mustered up the courage to do in a normal situation yet. Not to mention that him doing anything like that would almost go against the nice guy characterization that the author has been giving him for the last 16 chapters.

And then, once she does hug him, there is no escape. The real man would fluff her up so much, that she would herself understand who'se female she is and how much she is now dependant on him.
And then her spine would split in half, since the real man can't control his strength too well at his sub-1% capacity.

I mean what do you expect? He's a middle school kid who's probably never fallen in love before. This kind of stuff comes with the territory of the whole "set in a school" trope in manga imo...
Hell, compared to other romance MC's he feels more realistically portrayed, as he actually admits to liking her, as opposed to the whole dumb "I don't deserve to be in love with someone like her" bullshit most others do. I mean, he's still a wuss don't get me wrong, but it comes off more genuine in this case, and the art really helps reflect that. Showing him legitimately trying to ask her out, but his anxiety getting the better of him works, as opposed to feeling contrived.

I do hope his progression furthers more in the future though, as well as her's. I think the manga's doing a pretty good job so far. It being super fluffy definitely helps.
