Right, she's not just going to be into her suddenly. I think people want to believe she's in denial but it seems she genuinely never thought of her that way. Despite that, she's really thinking things through. This is a major shift in their relationship that calls their entire history into question. Of course, she'll be shaken up. I like that we're taking this time to unravel their feelings and reactions, rather than something more unrealistic. It's actually elevated the story for me.I like this manhua's realistic take on this premise. Other stories with less subtlety wouldn't follow this route.
Oh god I hope notsuspension bridge effect? what is this, an aka akasaka manga
Yeah if folks thought western "straight girl friendships™️" were confusing just wait until you live in a place that has encourages us to never examine our queerness while normalizing borderline sapphic levels of sisterhood as something normal between close friends (which there's nothing wrong with, but it ends up making a lot of closeted women assume their queerness falls into the definition of straight). Throw in a sprinkle of age gap and you see why it can be so confusing for people to quite literally wake up one day and realize their "sister" is a potential sexual/romantic partner. It's a whole identity crisis lolI like this manhua's realistic take on this premise. Other stories with less subtlety wouldn't follow this route.
