There are plenty of people IRL that could easily pass for a lithe girl even without HRT or pre-op. Actually if anything I wish the author would draw the "girl anatomy" a little cuter in regards to abs and a cuter rear, but beggars can't be choosers
Genuine question, does anyone know why some dark skinned characters are darker when colored? Always find weird that the values that they use in black white is just barely darker than normal skin when in the cover it's clearly a different value (I wonder if something similar to authors using white to economize on colors)
I'd imagine it's a difference between zip-a-tone for saving ink and time (or a digital facsimile) and the artist actually being able to use the color concept they actually want. Now, the thing that boggles me is that dark-skinned manga characters almost always look like they've been dipped in pigment -there's usually no differentiation between skin color on the back of the hands and the palms.
It's one of those things that once you're aware of it, like some world maps not having New Zealand, you'll forever be hunting down this kind of flaw
