Honestly Eliza was worst girl the whole time. Way too clingy and liking Ichi took up too much of her personality. All the girls like Ichi by default. She needs so more unique qualities going.

You know, I binge read this out of curiosity in where the plot would go and I think it would have been a waaay better story if it was about Cherry learning what it means to be human.

That would be better story-wise, but I don't think in their editor's eyes it will be interesting enough in the long run so they probably told the author to dial up the crazy and here we are right now.

Sometimes author should ignore the editor's advice, the guy is already well-know and readers never mind a good ecchi slice-of-life manga.
