This one is quite cute, though the reason she doesn't drink his blood feels a little underwhelming - especially given that they had a small cliffhanger for it, and building suspense, before revealing the dull reason.
I was thinking something along the lines of him having sweet blood, and she doesn't want to get fat, or some such.

Oh, and I hope this gets picked up, though it does feel like it doesn't really have anywhere to go... I suppose the romance between them, or how their relationship would work, when she can't suck his blood?

if she's allergic to the AB type, then the O type might be the most preferable :thonk:

I can't see this as a serialization. It's a solid one-shot about personal growth. That cringe moment hurt at the end hurt fr.

It's a coming of age story, which I'm guessing is a metaphor about a being into a girl who isn't into you (body type, different sexual preference).

It's a solid lesson that you can have friends with the opposite sex, not lead anywhere romantically and still enjoy and grow from it. The MC picking up dramas to watch and not being himself is a big oof.

Keeping an eye of the mangaka's future works. It's good.

This should probably stay a one shot despite how much I enjoyed it. With the obvious overtones of the blood sucking continuing the story will get messy and likely unpleasant to read.

That's a good reading of it. I don't see that myself, because there does seem like there would be a romantic tension between them, should the series continue.
Romance wasn't exactly shot down, and she seemed to want someone in her life who isn't obsessed with her vampirism, and him being a blood type she can't eat (and him accepting that) makes that an automatic conclusion (despite the start of their relationship being the opposite of that).

Regardless, I agree, it does seem like it doesn't have anywhere to go, besides treading cliches and the same ground already trodden in its oneshot... but that's most series, isn't it? :dogkek:

I can't see the romantic option at all:

His motivation at the start was FOMO. Every male we see in class was getting sucked except him. It was less about NOT being the only guy getting his blood drunk rather than starting a genuine friendship with a girl in his class.

His first impression to be bold and get closer to her by being a chunni and spiking his hair like a shōnen character and continuing to be awkward, with the conclusion of the one-shot MC being less awkward and more honest with his emotions.

Yelling in the hallway and doing a dogeza in the hallway might work in rom-com manga world, but that was pretty cringe.

I don't see how this can get romantic with the socially stunted MC. Socially he thinks he's swimming masterfully, but he's clearly treading water and trying not to drown. Our social butterfly FMC appreciates his boldness and finds his social awkwardness funny, but the last panel is her inviting him to see a band that the MC ONLY listened to because it thought it would make him look less of an introvert.

It kind of feels like the lightheartedness and life lessons of the one-shot would take a darker turn if they continue this relationship romantically, and she keeps necking the other guys in her class.
