This is what happens when you don't actually stay mindful and also don't properly communicate. Damn, man. Everyone shit-talking her, when he's just as much of a shit, just in a different way.
They're not done, yet. It seems quite apparent to me they're getting back together by the end of the story, after he's done some more growing up, and they both work their shit out.
But until then, he might end up in another relationship while she's away. Also, he doesn't need the computer anymore, if their relationship is over (for now), so that means he doesn't need to work for Yui's father anymore, either. But he might continue to help out, all the same. He'll also hopefully double-down on his running practice, as well, because that's still a major narrative element.
Seriously... I'm surprised he wasn't taking the practice more seriously so he could rub Arima's face in the dirt when next they went head-to-head, but instead he slacked off because 'imma in a relationship with Suzuka! yey!'. Like I've said in prior chapter comment sections, I've been where he was. I had a relationship where the other side was putting in effort and even encouraging me to improve myself, but I dragged my feet on it and failed to even seriously consider what she had to say. She eventually got fed up with me, and even found someone that caught her interest more than I was by that point, and ended up suggesting we end our relationship. Not much point to speculating, but, at the same time, if I had taken heed of the things she had to tell me, and been more present in the relationship, she might not have even looked that other person's way. I put sufficient doubt into her about my seriousness, and that was it.
