I assume you mean Yuuta Saotome, and, if so, I agree with you. She is such a remorseless gold digger, I think is the best way to describe her. She calls herself a hostess or escort, but she's just someone that treats men as moneybags. She claims to have a guy she likes, but why would he want to ever give her a chance if she's wired like this? Exploitative to the max, and nothing but a nuisance to Yamato.

In my opinion, the events of this chapter have been even more evidence that he's chosen the wrong girl. It's been obvious from early on he was going to end up with Suzuka (Asahina), and they always have these sorts of moments that pretty much broadcast how inevitable it is- their connection has been as subtle as a jackhammer for most of the story so far. He wants to avoid hurting Honoka? It was too late the moment she started coming on to him and he reciprocated, like the careless fool he is. All he can do now is lessen the pain by ending things as softly as possible, and as soon as possible. All this birthday worry is a waste of time, when he should be seriously considering his own feelings for these girls- the thing he should have done before jumping the gun with Honoka. I knew it was a mistake the moment they hooked up, and cringed at the inevitable fallout.

As if he'd suddenly stop having feelings for Suzuka- biggest lie this dolt told himself.
