@icarushector and why does he need his father to do that. Hes learned the path of the sword. hes experience in combat. He knows what he has to do. So yes, he'd need to build up some strength, but he doesnt need lessons how to fight.

@Velsy fair, he could probably do well with just self study, assuming the abusive mother didn't interfere. Literally all we know of her is that she's locked the frail and often sickly mc in the basement for "education".

@icarushector thats exactly it. His character who should of gone through training of a knight already. Hes fought in a great war and should have a decent amount of battle experience and techniques hes learned. In the flashback, its clear hes also a commanding officer. It makes no sense he'd want to submit himself to his dads training. He should have all the knowledge and know how to do his own training routines and past experiences. Its like reliving a path you already been through before. If anything you'd be more proficient having traveled it already.

However the challenge to him right now is indeed his weak body. Should be the only real thing on his mind right now.

@Velsy Simple exercise has explicitly been stated to fuck up her weak body, which implies she already tried exercising on her own. It's not technique she needs but support, largely medical, to overcome the current limitations of her constitution in a place where even with known respiratory weakness she gets locked in a musty basement for poor etiquette, let alone breaking the social setting.

2 things.

1: protecting something for your entire life- dying isn't failure, its fulfillment.
2: How does locking someone in a storage room overnight teach to them be a lady?
