Major secrets of the manga revealed in a span of 3-5 chapters...yup, this has the mark of The Axe alright.

A shame since I liked the worldbuilding that was happening with the chapters showing Ms. Lulu and the orphanage, as well as Elio's novel signing in her double(triple?) life.

Frankly, it's impressive just how quickly this has nosedived.

Like you'd think they'd just go for an open ending if they saw the axe, not try to resolve every single plotline including ones we hadn't been told about yet.

Some Romcoms the axe is almost a blessing because it just gets us to the place where it was heading anyway but before the misunderstandings get stale or the lack of progress gets infuriating.

This one had so much more it could have done before we needed to wrap it up.

Yeah, it's kind of a shame. I don't even think it really beat around the bush too much. If there's one silver lining at least it feels like the author had a planned ending and Jump is giving him some time to finish it rather than "Your next chapter is the last. Think of something."

Yeah, I can't htink of a single 'filler' chapter (granted its probably going to be a 30 chapter run so that's not a massive feat) or poinltess wheel spinning.

Any yup; its a little rushed but we're getting a final arc instead of just a final chapter.
