I'd agree if it wasn't the fact these 2 have some chemistry together. Seriously they had a nice conversation and the dude wasn't thinking about romancing her in the slightest. He also didn't help her of his own volition expecting anything from her he did it because an old classmate asked him to. Let's not forget she's kinda inconveniencing him by using him to stave off an annoying co-worker. Dude wasn't expecting anything from her despite all of that.this kind of feels like Nice Guy Fantasy; 'I saved this girl from all those gross dudes hitting on her so of course she'll end up liking me instead'
the vibes are kind of unpleasant so far
The vibe to me is less about the guy in the story's motivations and more about the audience I feel like it's primarily aiming itself at - it's more about what I feel like the story is (intentionally or not) saying so far about how it sees the world working.I'd agree if it wasn't the fact these 2 have some chemistry together. If this was "nice guy" fantasy the story would've gone very different. For one he would've approached those guys head on instead covertly.
I'm sorry but you don't know what you're talking about. A guy helping a chick out without expecting anything from her doesn't make it a "nice guy fantasy".
Now we just need the mods to put that in.From google translate, the description
"Tonami Seiya is a thirty-something office worker. His Friday night routine is to have a leisurely drink alone at his favorite standing bar. However, one day, after he helps a female college student who is being hit on in the bar, he begins drinking next to her every day. Even though they are just casual conversations about trivial discoveries and light complaints, you are there to laugh next to him - a standing bar love comedy that will make you look forward to Friday nights like that, and will make you feel drunk."
This is true but I don't care.this kind of feels like Nice Guy Fantasy; 'I saved this girl from all those gross dudes hitting on her so of course she'll end up liking me instead'
