At this point, there’s nothing really to this story other than a bunch of self-masturbatory couple bonding.
Sad since the intial premise was kinda cute. I guess this is why many romances just take so long to the couple to officially happen. (That and money)

@Gustbk I'd rather have a wholesome healthy couple bonding than have a problematic couple. Why do we need to force problematic drama in everything especially in a wholesome romance yuri like this? We had enough of drama, real life and fictional. I want to escape away from the problems of real life drama in relationships and indulge myself in wholesome romance.

I think it would need more story if the chapters were longer.
But, for how short these are, it works fine. It's just like candy.

There's nothing wrong with SoL fluffy romance, but it's clearly not good writing for the characters to pretty much lose the little bit of personality they had before ever since the confession happened. And there are ways the romance could still preserve the old dynamic (the Gloomy girl obsessed with badasses and the Model Student who's just secretly obsessed with the nerd).

But instead they're just two bland girlfriends...no humor, No sense of time, no other members of the cast, the cutesy stuff happens in every Shoujo Ai, the art couldn't be called fanservicey in any way and no goals other than "Date". If there's no story, there's nothing different than a fanfic-y daydream or stalking any two girls on a date.

"Masturbatory" creative production is looked down on because what's normally meant is that the author is mainly interacting with themselves, narcissistically ignoring the audience. It doesn't seem like that's what @Gustbk is talking about here, rather something along the lines of the content is just very simple pleasure. Which is true enough, but it's not as clear that that's a bad thing. Masturbation is fun, after all.

@Purplelibraryguy — that’s pretty spot-on, it’s just that a story getting simpler and simpler is usually harder for me to engage in. Though I guess masturbatory is not the right term (unless it’s some sort of group thing, no judgement), so just describing this as some sort of fluffy Shoujo ai fanservice would fit it better...at least if the chapters keep just meandering like this one.
