If I had a nickle for every manga in the 'so I transmigrated into a villain's body' subgenre of isekai, where the protagonist transmigrates into the body of a fat character to showcase how scummy and vicefilled that body's owner had been and then has the protagonist lose, frankly, an unsafe amount of weight in the first chapter to showcase his virtuous moral fiber; I'd have a depressing number of fatphobic nickels.

that would require actual effort on the part of the mangaka. I have no clue why they even bother making them fat in the first place if they do away with that in 5 pages

It's an industry joke that a butler must be called Sebas. If it's something else, the readers will joke about it being a fake butler. If an author wants to write a more serious story, the name is something else. It's about deciding whether to include that joke or not, not about imagination. It's not even about having or not having enough imagination for novel jokes because it's precisely a joke that's repeated for its own sake. Like a meme. If it's not repeated, it ceases to be. Again, like a meme.

This feels doubly insulting when the first estimate given by the butler was actually realistic (it would take at least 1 year of very hard work to achieve this).
