This is definitely looking promising so far, can't wait for them to encounter pre-historic humans!

The bit about the elephant is somewhat true, I live in a part of the world where they are in the wild. They are silent when moving and can be moody, one can suddenly show up in a thick forest without you realizing it. They are surprisingly fast at navigating through rainforests. While tigers and leopards are dangerous, they rarely go specifically after people and there are steps to scare them away (like the people in the Sundarbaans wearing masks on the back of their heads). Elephants on the other hand, you can't really discourage them from approaching you, just pray to god that it decides to leave you alone instead of crushing you.

The fuck is this shit? You can get TONS of temporal data from fossils through dating of the rocks around it, and from compositions in the rocks themselves.
What you CAN’T get, is stuff that biodegrades easily. T-Rexes might have had hot pink scales with purple polka dots at some point, but there would be no way to tell.

The problem is with tha fossils we don't find. Maybe earlier there was much more of them, so we found the fossils from that age, but maybe later the populatin decreased, so we couldn't discover them. What he said is totally logical.
