No, I don't feel dumb at all. After all, I can actually read and understand the dialogue in this, unlike 99% of the people commenting on here.

….come on. Read between the lines. There is a reason why Paru used a whole page for the „rather mate with you“ line. She very clearly wants to give us readers a message. Don‘t be so naive. She lets the tension build.

Also, Paru literally has written two short manga that‘s exclusively about sex, and Beastars had plenty of sex too. She already did animal-animal and human-ghost fucking.

I like how Taika is in this middle ground between acting like a man and a dog, where he doesn't fully understand his actions, Ao presented a very good point, humanizing him might make him even more dangerous. I can't help but think that Paru drawing him with two different expressions at the same time in the magazine cover and pointing this out on social media feels like foreshadowing to that thing about Pit Bulls having a switch.

Perhaps he got fed something or some sound was being played that induced him into a black-out murderous mauling? There are a lot of different ways Itagaki could end up going.

Yeah, and I bet that one of the themes that will explored in the series is that despite how beast-men were created to address the issues of labor and taxation shortages thanks to population decline, stuff like human-beastmen romantic relationships have probably begun to spring up as a new phenomena.

Like I won't surprised if the series eventually includes a chapter that features a nightclub or some other underground venue where humans and beast-men hook up covertly.

This chapter makes me smile, it tickles me in the right spot and I bet Pal knows what she wants to say.

So, as a Furry (yeah yeah have a laugh, whatever) yeah we're interested in our imaginary world to have some sexual thing with anthropomorphic animals. But even in furry community, doing sexual things with RL animals itself is pretty much condemned, as furries call it "Feral", and believe me, being Furry in original form is okay, like Simba for example, as long as it's anything but sexual. But having a thought to fuck Simba? Make sure he's anthropomorphized first. Or else, your name will be remembered in the blacklist of furry community. They've also marked and often reported beastiality furries to the police.

And so, I think Taika, in this case, is more interested to mate with her because his "human nature" kicks in, as he doesn't think Ao as his master anymore, but as equivalent. However, Ao at this time considers Taika as his pet, or more to little brotherly sense, and in this current state, Ao considers Taika going horny over him still unacceptable, not just because she still think her as a pet, but also a little brother (who happens to be an allegedly culprit).

But Taika learns how to be human, also thanks to the "human nature". He learns by nature that peeing like a dog is a no-no, he doesn't want to do that. He also learns norms, like not just holding hands in public. But he DOES feel that Ao is hers. Jealousy.

.............but despite all of that, I might be still in denial... Did Taika kill Dad? Just like that? The one who loved him like his own kid? I wanted to believe "WHAT DID DAD DO TO MAKE TAIKA KILL HIM"? And if Taika actually killed Dad, what would hold him for killing Ao in later time in the same manner, especially because Taika might be a jealous person?

Oh, right. I believe you guys have read another manga like this in shojo story, albeit a bit wild. It's going to be an anime, can't wait to see it.
