For a neat explanation on who Oiwa is, you can watch this clip
Not so very fun fact. One of the ingredients for the poisoned makeup is devils trumpet.
Devil's trumpet iirc was grown on Epstein's island and can be used to extract the substance known as scopolamine. From mentions of it, it could be inferred to have been used on his victims. If you don't know who Epstein is... stay innocent, my sweet summer child.
Also another tidbit. I recall very vaguely that a number of years ago in my country, a woman who used a whitening cream that was not approved by our country's pharmaceutical regulatory board ended up with multiple organ failures and became wheelchair bound due to it. So lesson is, don't use dodgy makeup, people.
I think that was part of the dude's point when he was questioning "Haruhi"'s resolve and asking if she had found sympathy.Damn, did she really deserve to die? It seemed like the recent chapters were making her appear sympathetic.
Really don't get why he was criticizing her. I mean this was a pretty low stakes scheme? If it works great, if it doesn't it's super easy to try something else.I think that was part of the dude's point when he was questioning "Haruhi"'s resolve and asking if she had found sympathy.
The fact remains, Yoshiko was a major part of Yuu's trauma and suffering. For her, it doesn't matter whether one of her abusers has since "reformed" in some capacity - she will have her revenge.
It was quite a while ago and I can no longer find the article so I don't know what exactly the whitening cream contains. Scary thing is, when I was a tween, whitening soaps from neighbouring countries with uncertain ingredients were often recommended between us girls, touted to be effective. And teens don't really realize how dangerous uncertified cosmetics are.The white in makeup foundation used to use lead as a base--which, if you know what prolonged exposure of lead can do to the body, should tell you everything you need to know there.
If someone got their hands on "old school" white foundational makeup, then that would be my assumption.
