About how it was translated, that's not at all how the song goes, but I can't blame the translators. The author's katakana(zation?) of the lyrics are wrong, if you Google 「ソダッサバッ」 you really won't find anything (the correct would be 「ソダンソサンバ」). So of course they wouldn't know what the correct translation should be, as far as they knew, it was a made up song with random noises. Now, where those English lyrics come from I have no idea.
A more accurate translation would be "I only dance samba; go go go go go; I only dance samba, go" or, preferably, you could just think of it as a song in Portuguese since that's how the character is experiencing it.
