The discussion's already poisoned because the author is referring to the clump of cells as a child. It's not a child, it's only as alive as a cancer is alive at this early stage. And anyways, suck that bastard-baby into the garbage disposal.

Kinda a meh argument from the author. Even if nothing happens abortion-wise, miscarriages happen a lot due to stress and other events (including the life-changing events the MC is doing). In addition, although it’s the host’s choice, the baby could prevent a clean break from the husband since he can demand parental rights or visitation.
The host also seems weak-willed, or at least traumatized enough to let her husband’s family walk over her so the child could be a potential source of trauma in the future similar to the blonde woman’s situation if MC hadn’t stepped in.
