I also thought it was strange. At one point I even got confused and thought Nagi was the boy. I think it’s the first time I’ve seen them use -kun with a female character.

Also, when the MC’s friends said her name, they called her by her last name with the “-chan” honorific and not “-kun.” The translation really does have some mistakes.

-kun is only used for woman by a boss or a much older person. This is not what Souta and Nagi are.

yes from what I remembered the parents are actually nice people and the only reason they tried the whole arranged marriage thing for her is cuz they thought that would make her happy or w/e and they didn't know about the boy she likes. But ofc she has this view of accepting it cuz they took her in and she wanted to repay it or w/e. but after finding out about the MC they gave up quickly on the arranged marriage. Its just honestly dumb little unneeded drama all around.

Btw on pg 12 top left panel, Hayama (the ribbon girl) actually used "Shinonome-chan" for fmc. Basically they're not yet close enough to use first name and still call each other by family names.

If it's too bothersome to fix then I guess it's fine. Just something to keep in mind in the next chapter.
