but the demon lord was also taken as disciple by another god so messing with him means messing with the other god , so the masters let the young ones fight among themselves and don't coz extra trouble and as long as demon lord doesn't threaten the existence of glory city as a whole the god wont act , he doesn't care if a few humans die bcoz it wud be going against natural flow regardless of their rank , the god's objective is to preserve human race from the demons in the outside world he doesn't bother with infighting ( here demon lord is used as a title , he isn't actually a demon)

Ye Mo will throws the demon spirit stone to the DL. DL kills Ye Zong by piercing through his chest, fatally wounding him. Ye Zong activated Snow Winds Family self destruction technique, turning himself to ice. this destroys his soul but causes immense damage to the DL.

Nie Li in a rage executed the Heavenly God Secret Technique, quickly raising his strength and hit the DL destroying his arms, legs and even his head. DL's life was saved by a Draconic Ruins artifact and escaped. Ye Zong soul was destroyed, Nie Li used the Soul Mirror to gather Ye Zongs soul fragments but with no hope of reviving him from soul aura alone.
