What little I understood was that the Demon Lord (maybe) put his soul in the armor and ran away, so the stone was not destroyed it and must be in the middle of that crater

Idiot should have used this attack as soon as he saw the demon king in town instead of wasting his and everyone's time and causing them injuries. Not blaming him for the death of his father in-law, that man died honroably defending his home. MC is just thick headed for not fully estimating the DK's real threat level. He should have ordered all of them to go guard the city while he fights the DK 1 on 1.

Well, that solves the issue on defeating Demon Lord and I know that he survived from Nie Li attacks but I really dony know if he carry that Demon Stone alongside of him.
Meanwhile Nie Li was consumed by hatred and revenge for Step-father was 'killed' in front of his eyes, but after he defeated Demon Lord, his face kinda sad and regret at same time due he cant protect him from Demon Lord grasp.

His sword are very powerful but he cant used it as long as 'hostages' are around him and thats why he held back his attack at all, also he already know that Demon Lord much stronger back in Nether Realm and his current power cant beat him equally without his equipments

Nasif some things you said are wrong. He does hate him a lot for what he did, but Ye Zong didn't destroy his soul in the WN so he can be revived, as he was in the last chapter. Second he is a Sect Master in a reunion of all rightoues sects, he can't kill somebody there, also the biggest threat is the Sage Emperor and it's hinted Nie Li will need his help to kill him.
The Demon Lord isn't a reincarnator, he is only an heir of emperor Kong Ming, he uses a secret art to transfer his soul along time.

NO he also destroyed it in WN , nie lie tried using that mirror something artifact to store the remnants of the soul that is why he cannot be revived by normal means since the soul is heavily damaged and cant cultivate anymore and has no sense of self unlike that ancestor bird puppet which can and will revive on its own.So he needed that special potion which demon lord gave to revive him. Also Nie li is not a person to avoid risks so your argument of not killing the demon lord is flat. I mean he flats out says that he has got no ill will with demon lord in novel when in reality he and his sect were responsible for demise destruction of glory city in his previous life and author decides to forget that part and for the sake of plot all hatred towards him is finished, talk about anti climatic when the person responsible for your family friends and home town deaths is forgiven so easily LOL .
