Pleasantly surprised to see the Jawi line be researched that much! I just wanted to elaborate on it as a Malaysian man myself.
Rumi has completely overtaken Jawi in everyday life, but the more religious states have it as a law for businesses to have Jawi alongside Rumi for their signs (especially for ones owned by Malays, I've personally seen ones owned by Chinese and Indians to forgo it). Jawi is still taught in the education system here though, but only in religion class.
