I really want to like Chinese webtoons as much as I've liked Chinese Xianxia novels but... they make it so hard...
The premise: Interesting
The MC: ehh? They sure do love their heroic-looking MC's. It's a little blase though.
Info-dump: As normal with Chinese webtoons, yes, yes and yes.
Are Chinese webtoons just in their infancy and this medium's story-telling hasn't developed yet? Is this a cultural thing I'm missing? Or are most webtoons I see just cash-grabs that come out of established Xianxia novels?
Post chapter-1 rating: I'll... try to struggle through a few more chapters.

Yeah I noticed the massive amount of text while uploading when the images were shown in a raster view
You can definitely see when they have more budget and good staff like with chopping wood and heavenly path (where the art budget carries them) and my disciplines are all big villains (where the adaptation is simply good).
There are also really good ones [link] (I recommend most of these), but I guess most simply suffer from lazy and bad storytelling + low budget and cash grab adaptations.
I'll give your suggestions a try! I just realized one I've been enjoying: Please bully me miss villainess is a Chinese webtoon as well.

seriously? instead of using knowledge from myth and novel from this world which itself is a cheat to evolve the pet, WHY MUST SYSTEM, this make everything feel so lazy.

I do dislike the fact he gets a free evolution for nothing and the power she got out of nowhere.
they could at least make it an easy side quest.
System stories are not necessarily bad, and I enjoy them most of the time.
The information on how to evolve pets on its own can make a decent power and story premise even without a skillboard.
But too many freebies too fast could easily ruin the story's power scale.
and it makes no sense for a supposedly "low-tier" undead to be that strong (it is not like he got a myth-tier pet instantly )
but I will give it the benefit of the doubt at least.
Extra Edit after finishing the manga :
The premise of the manga is fine.
But there are too many asspulls for me to recommend it.

It also seems to have been axed as chapter 44 is a poor ending at best.
It leaves off in the middle of a fight after introducing a new villain and re-introducing an earlier character who joins up with them.
( to take revenge on the MC despite MC technically being innocent and having nothing to do with the villains' downfall... )
The story has basically 2 story arcs and MC only got to evolve his zombie pet GF once.
Despite it being shown to have many more evolutions, so to me, it is clear that the story was set up to go on for longer.
The first story arc is a battle tournament to get into a good school.
And then it left of in the end of the 2nd school arc where MC goes to his new school as well as gets sent on a school mission.
After the mission, MC is starting a fighting with another classmate to get into the school ranking.
And then it ends in the middle of the fight.

Has any one noticed that the building after the mc leaves the classroom has an interesting shape to say the least.
